Neue CPU auf M5A97_R2.0

    Guten Tag,
    ich habe vor mein CPU zur ersetzen momentan ist AMD Phenom II X4 970 drin. Mein System.
    Mein MoBo ist M5A97 R2.0 also AM3+ Sockel und laut diese Seite kann ich nur bis
    FX-8370 verbauen.
    Ich habe gedacht FX-8350 oder FX-8370 kaufen und noch G.Skill Sniper F3-14900CL9D-8GBSR
    (da ich in anderen PC schon gleiche 8GB habe, wollte ich das verdoppeln und in meine einbauen)
    Ich spiele Warface und mit meine jetzige System habe ich ca. 80-120 FPS mit niedrigste Grafik Einstellung.
    Ich hoffe nach Update bisschen mehr Leistung für mein Spiel.
    Ich werde dankbar für eure Vorschläge.

    Ich würde an deiner Stelle erst versuchen, deinen Phenom zu übertakten und zu schauen, ob sich an der Performance was ändert. Wenn du keinen Leistungsgewinn merkst, dann wird auch ein FX nicht so viel bringen, weil die IPC niedriger ist, als beim Phenom. Außer es handelt sich um Anwendungen oder Spiele, die von Multithreading profitieren. Das ist bei Warface zwar der Fall, aber teste lieber erst OC, bevor du 150€ für eine CPU ausgibst, speziell weil Kaby-Lake und Zen gegen Ende des Jahres kommen.

    Wenn du einen guten Phenom hast, dann kannst du unter Luft auch locker auf 4,4 Ghz oder mehr hoch. Aber 4 Ghz sind mit ein bisschen Spannungserhöhung eigentlich immer möglich. Mehr RAM ist aber mittlerweile nicht verkehrt, viele neue Spiele bringen 8 GB schon sehr deutlich ans Limit, speziell Spiele wie Rise of the Tomb Raider, dass bei mir mit 8 GB gar nicht erst startet, oder viele Online-Spiele, die den RAM volllaufen lassen.

    Da ist eine Liste mit Prozessoren und ihrer Maximalen Temperatur die sie unter Volllast (Prime) erreichen sollten und von welcher bis welcher Spannung sie Ausgelegt sind. Beides Werte die man nicht zwingend überreizen sollte.
    Dazu die wichtigste aller Regeln die man im Hinterkopf behalten sollte: Denke niemals das du zwingend Werte von anderen Erreichen kannst! Jeder Chip ist anders. Der eine schafft mehr, der andere Weniger. Wenn bei dir also nicht viel rauskommen sollte, dann kann es sein, das es einfach so ist. :)

    Habe jetzt G.Skill Sniper F3-14900CL9D-8GBSR von andere PC in mein verbaut, wollte testen ob das besser lauft da er schnelle ist als mein alter Geil 2x4GB PC3-10660
    aber da passt was nicht zusammen oder RAM wird nicht richtig erkannt oder lauft mein MoBo nicht mit dieser RAM mit volle Geschwindigkeit...

    Auf dem Ram sollte für gewöhnlich ein aufkleber sein auf dem die Geschwindigkeit steht und die Latenzen. Übernehm die einfach genau so wie sie drauf stehen, dann sollte er in seinen Spezifikationen Problemlos laufen.
    Das die XMP gelegentlich nicht ordentlich ausgelesen werden kommt schon mal vor und sollte dir keine Angst machen. Solange das Board die Spezifikationen die auf dem Ram drauf stehen einhält, machst du nichts falsch.

    Kannst du bitte angucken und bescheid sagen wenn was falsch ist?

    Wenn ich dich richtig verstanden hatte sagtest du ja, das dein Bios den Ram bzw die Werte nicht richtig erkennt? (was ja bei AIDA auch zu erkennen ist das die XMP Profile nicht passen die angegeben werden). Das ist, sofern man es Händisch einstellt auch zu vernachlässigen. :)
    Hast du da so wie du es jetzt eingestellt hast noch irgendwelche Probleme? Instabil? Abstürze oder dergleichen oder kannst du ganz normal alles machen? Wenn keine wirklichen Probleme sind dann kannst du das ansich so belassen. Da ist kein Fehler deinerseits. Zumindest keinen den ich erkenne.

    Schnellerer RAM bringt dir beim Phenom leider nichts, auch wenn du im CPU Limit besser zurecht kommst, als mit langsamerem RAM, kommst du bei neuen Spielen immer noch in Gefilde, wo ein Phenom auch mit OC massive Probleme hat.
    Auch RAM OC bringt leider nicht allzu viel. Ich habe meinen Phenom II 955 mit 4,2 Ghz laufen lassen und 8GB 2133er RipJawwsX verbaut, im direkten Vergleich zu 1600er RipJawsX oder 1333er TeamGroup Elite merkst du keinen Unterschied, auch nicht im CPU Limit. Mit 1333er bin ich bei Rise of the Tomb Raider im Schnitt bei 33 FPS, minimal bei 5. Das gleiche gilt auch für 1600er RAM, beim 2133er bin ich dann minimal bei 5,2 FPS. Also kurzum der Unterschied ist der Rede nicht wert. Wie gesagt sind die Werte aus dem CPU Limit, wenn du da nicht bist, ist der Unterschied nicht wahrnehmbar, geschweige denn messbar. Du kasst also auch ruhig deinen alten RAM verbaut lassen, außer es ist wirklich 1066er, dann würde ich den als 1333er laufen lassen, von schnellerem RAM profitiert der Phenom eh nicht.

    Beim Phenom II ist es letztlich so, dass er mehr vom Takt profitiert, als von allem anderen. Mit guter Kühlung sind 4 Ghz in der Regel immer möglich, solange das C3 Stepping vorhanden ist. Was ich beim 970 aber vermute. Wenn du dein System mit dem Phenom @ 4 Ghz stabil laufen lassen kannst, dann könntest du auch noch etwas höher gehen, hier ist aber zu erwähnen, dass nahezu alle Phenom II ab 4 Ghz eine unverhältnismäßig hohe VCore brauchen. Meiner läuft bis 4 Ghz mit 1,475V, sobald ich höher will, muss ich über 1,5V hoch. bei 4,2 Ghz sogar schon 1,525V. Damit leidet dann auch die Lebensdauer extrem, dazu kommt, dass ab 4 Ghz auch kein so großer Leistungssprung mehr vorhanden ist. Und meinen Erfahrungen muss man anmerken, dass es mit einer wesentlich schwächeren GPU (HD7970 Ghz) getestet wurde. Du darfst beim Phenom II letztlich nicht vergessen, dass es sich um eine 7 Jahre alte CPU handelt, die C3 sind zwar besser als die CPU's mit C2 Stepping, aber so langsam kommen diese CPU's leider an ihre Grenzen.

    Was du auch noch ausprobieren kannst, ist deinen RAM auf 16GB auszubauen, den Phenom mit 4 Ghz laufen lassen und schauen, ob sich damit was ändert. Wenn nicht, dann wirst du um eine neue CPU nicht herumkommen. Wenn es dabei möglichst günstig sein soll, dann kannst du über einen gebrauchten 8300er nachdenken, alles darunter macht keinen Sinn.

    Also ich hab mit 3,9 bis 4 GHz paar Tage gespielt (nur Multiplikator verändert auf 17-17.5 CPU FSB 234MHz, Extreme Memory Profile v1.3 DDR3-1866)... Erste Tag gings, etwas mehr FPS, System läuft stabil... bei zweiten Tag habe ich intensiver gespielt ca.5 bis 6 Std. Am Anfang war alles ok dann habe ich Grafik Einstellung geändert in Spiel und zwar Schatten auf mittel und Antialiasing aktiviert und bei eine Spiel Mission (13 Sektors, spieldaue ca.30 min) habe ich ein richtiges Freeze bekommen, Standbild und nichts gings weiter(das war Sektor 4)... auf Desktop gewechselt alles schwarz, Teamspeak funktionierte, ich könnte zwischen aufgerufenen Fenster in Desktop umschalten, Programme und Spiel in Taskleiste sehen aber aufrufen nicht nur schwarze Desktop... also Reset gemacht.
    Alles neue gestartet und in Spiel weil da wartete auf mich mein Team... Bein nächste Mission System einfach neue gestartet das war auch mitten drin... also ganz ergärlich, mein Team muste wieder auf mich warten und zur viert Sektor zu ende machen...
    CPU Temperatur war weniger als 50 Grad, an Grafik Karte soll das auch nicht liegen
    Jetzt bin ich auf 3,7 GHz runter CPU Multi 16.5x CPU FSB auf 225MHz, VCore habe ich nicht geändert...
    Kann sein das Netzteil zur Schwach?
    Ach noch was... ich habe noch BIOS update vorher gemacht...
    Hatte eigentlich vor noch 8 GB gleiche RAM dazu kaufen... oder vielleicht gleich auf Intel umsteigen?
    Habe ca.300-350€ zu Verfügung, musste dann MoBo, CPU, 8GB RAM, Kühler kaufen nur welche?

    Lass den FSB auf 200 und erhöh nur den Multi. Hast du bei 4 Ghz auch die VCore nicht verändert? Das schafft eigentlich kein Phenom, selbst 3,8 Ghz ohne VCore Erhöhung ist fast unmöglich.
    Speziell die X4 Phenom's machen als Black Edition bei FSB OC etwas Probleme, weshalb du lieber den Multi auf 20 setzen solltest und die VCore auf 1,475V. Das sollte egentlich reichen, um stabile 4 Ghz zu bekommen, falls nicht die Spannung noch etwas erhöhen, aber wenn das der Fall sein sollte, dass du die VCore auf 1,5V setzen musst für 4 Ghz, ist deine CPU leider nicht wirklich ein guter Chip. Mit viel Pech kannst du leider nichtmal die 4Ghz stabil bekommen.

    Ein Umstieg auf Intel ist natürlich ein Option, aber das wird mit 350€ nicht leicht, wenn es neue Hardware sein soll und du auch übertakten willst. Zudem müsstest du dann auch noch RAM dazu rechnen, weil du deinen aktuellen bei Skylake nicht benutzen könntest. Auch nicht bei den Boards mit DDR3-Slots, weil diese DDR3L RAM brauchen. Nimmst du auf einem solchen Board normalen DDR3-RAM kannst du das Board und auch die CPU killen. Die einzige Alternative ist Haswell oder ein gebrauchtes System, aber ein i7 2600k mit einem Z77 Board kostet auch rund 300€, weil du auch einen anderen CPU Kühler brauchst. Ich würde dir daher raten, noch etwas zu sparen und dann wenn Kaby Lake und Zen auf dem MArkt sind einen Komplettwechsel zu machen. Das macht aktuell bei dir mehr Sinn. Wenn du kein OC möchtest ist ein i5er System auf Skylake Basis aber möglich.

    VCORE habe ich ganicht verändert nicht bei 4 GHz und jetzt auch nicht... Habe bisschen schieß was kaputt zur machen, muss erstmal suchen wo das überhaupt ist :)
