    Hallo zusammen,

    ich habe folgendes Problem: ich habe seit einiger Zeit Win7 und wollte darauf CoD 2 installieren. Doch wenn ich die CD einlege, kommt eine Fehlermeldung: "Fehler in der Anwendung - die Bibliothek konnte nicht gefunden werden" oder so ähnlich. Mein OS ist Win7 Professional x64, da müsste der Kompatibilitätsmodus von XP doch integriert sein, oder? Gibt es einen Trick, wie ich das Ganze zum Laufen bekomme?

    naja wenn er beim installieren schon probleme macht dann würde ich mal sagen das es nicht läuft..ich mein das spiel ist auch schon ewig alt ;) das einzige was du machen kannst ist mal den "XP-modus" runterzuladen ist ja dann n virtueller PC..musst mal bei microsoft gucken ;)

    Fuer den xp modus braucht man ne cpu die das unterstuetzt (virtualisierung oder so, core i7 und i5 muessten das haben). Aber selbst damit wirds kaum laufen da dieser modus keine hardwarebeschleunigung unterstuetzt, dh. die grafik wird von der cpu berechnet...

    ja cpu virtualization heißt das. und man kann auf keinen fall was im xp mode spielen. ich musste im registry editor erzwingen dass das spiel in der gewünschten auflösung startet

    Nutze Steam. Darauf sollte es dann laufen.

    Installieren, Konto anlegen, Produkt registrieren und laden lassen.

    Eigtl müsste CoD 2 aber auf Windows 7 laufen

    ich spiele auch CoD2 und habe Windows 7 Professional 64bit.
    habe es einfach ganz normal installiert und denn gings ^^ ganz ohne probleme. Also an Windows 7 denk ich mal liegts nicht.

    Ich kann das ohne Probleme auf Win7 Ultimate x64 spielen. Einen ähnlichen Fehler hatte ich aber beim Einlegen der DVD aber auch: "Bibliothek nicht registriert", Prozess gekillt und hab auf der DVD einfach die Setup.exe gestartet, dann ging alles reibungslos. Installation sowie das Spielen ganz ohne Probleme.

    Vermutlich kommt da ein Splash-Screen, also eine .exe. Bild, Buttons und Mukke.

    Wenn das Setup manuell tut, dann umso besser. Vor dem ersten Start tät ich jedoch den letzten Patch einspielen (1.3 oder was das ist).
