prozessor mit mainboard kompatibel?

hallo,

ich habe momentan einen pc mit einer RTX 3070 einen ryzen 5 3600 und einem b450 A pro max und will mir jetzt da meine Grafigkarte zu stark für meinen prozessor ist einen Ryzen 7 5800x holen. Meine frage ist ob der prozessor zu meinem mainboard passt und ob es sich lohnt? Und ob ich dafür ein Bios update brauche?
