Ibotta Referral Code 2026: Use RIWKCGX for a $20 Sign-Up Bonus

The Ibotta referral code is RIWKCGX. New users who create an account with this code and upload their first shopping receipt can earn a $20 sign-up bonus. Anyone who then refers friends with their own code or link can earn an extra $20 per qualifying referral.

What is Ibotta?

Ibotta is a free cash back app for iOS and Android. You earn real money back on everyday purchases from grocery stores, retailers, and online shops. You pick offers in the app, shop as usual, then verify your purchase by uploading a receipt or linking a retailer account. The cash back is added to your Ibotta balance, and you can withdraw it once you meet the payout requirements shown in the app.

Millions of people use Ibotta to reduce their grocery and household spending. A referral code is the easiest way to add a welcome bonus on top of the normal cash back.

How to Use the Ibotta Referral Code RIWKCGX

Follow these steps to claim the new-user bonus:

Download the Ibotta app from the App Store or Google Play, or go to the Ibotta website.

Tap “Sign Up” and create your account with an email address, Apple, or Google.

Enter the referral code RIWKCGX when prompted, or sign up through the referral link you were given.

Shop as usual. Browse offers, add the ones you want, and buy those products at a participating store.

Upload your first receipt through the app so Ibotta can verify your purchase.

Receive your $20 bonus once your first receipt is approved, according to Ibotta's terms.

Tip: Add offers before you shop. Offers added after checkout usually can't be redeemed for that purchase.

How the Ibotta Referral Program Works

After you join, you get your own personal referral code and link. The program works like this:

Share your code or link with friends and family.

They sign up with your code or link.

They upload their first receipt to qualify.

You earn an extra $20 bonus for each qualifying referral, as long as the offer is active and Ibotta's terms are met.

Your friend gets their welcome bonus too, so both sides benefit. Look under the referral or “Give $20, Get $20” section of the app for your personal code, since the amount shown there is what applies to your account.

Ibotta Referral Bonus: Is It Really $20?

Based on the current offer, yes: $20 for new users and $20 extra for referrers. Ibotta changes referral amounts from time to time, and bonuses may be limited by region, time period, or account eligibility. Before relying on the $20 figure, check the sign-up screen and the Ibotta terms.

So keep these points in mind:

The bonus is not instant. It is paid after your first receipt is verified.

It is cash back, not a free gift card, and withdrawal rules apply.

Self-referrals and duplicate accounts usually violate Ibotta's terms and can lead to a closed account.

Tips to Get the Most From Ibotta

Upload a real, eligible receipt on your first purchase so the bonus isn’t delayed. Pick a store you already shop at, and choose products with active offers.

Stack offers. Combine app offers with store sales and coupons where the retailer allows it.

Check weekly bonuses and special offers inside the app.

Use the browser extension or online shopping portal for cash back on web purchases.

Read the offer details before buying. Brand, size, and quantity requirements apply to most offers.
